AAVIS is now ISPP

The Australian Association of Ambulatory Vaginal and Incontinence surgeons was formed in 1997 by a group of gynaecologist interested in the new technology of suburethral slings and the Integral Theory of Petros and Ulmsten.

AAVIS has held an annual conference every year since 1999. Over the years the society has evolved into an international multidisciplinary group of pelvic surgeons and in 2010 at our annual conference in Vienna it was decided to combine with some other European groups to form the International Society for Pelviperineology or ISPP.

The AAVIS tradition continues with the First ISPP Annual Conference to be held in Sydney on October 6 - 9th 2011.ISPP welcomes the participation of all health practitioners involved in pelvic medicine or surgery. Our new website address is www.pelviperineology.com
