Gyrus ACMI together with Neotonus invite you to a breakfast meeting to discover and discuss the advantages and potential areas of exploration for the Neotonus chair.
We welcome those that are already advocates of Neotonus as well as those with an interest in Pelvic Floor Issues. The meeting will be on Sunday morning at 730 am and a buffet breakfast will be provided.
Contact Heidi McKenzie from Gyrus on 0425 785 660 or the Conference Organisers at aavisoffice@yahoo.com.au for any further information.
What is the Neotonus machine ?
Neotonus Pelvic Floor Therapy system is a non surgical therapy for the treatment of stress, urge and mixed incontinence in women. For patients whose incontinence is caused by a weakening of the pelvic floor muscles Neotonus can offer unique therapeutic benefits. Unlike other therapy options, Neotonus exercises all the muscles in the Pelvic Floor to build strength and endurance and restore bladder control. Neotonus accomplishes this while the patient remains fully clothed in a comfortable chair.
The technoogy that makes this treatment possible is Extracorporeal Magnetic Innervation, ExMI for short.Cleared by the US FDA in 1995 and the TGA in Australia in 1999, Neotonus is the first product to utilise ExMI. The process is similar to Kegel exercises for the pelvic floor. While conventional Kegel exercises enhanced by biofeedback techniques can help restore continence, women often perform the exercises incorrectly, incompletely, or inconsistently. With Neotonus the system completes the exercises for the patient in a more complete and effective manner than the patient could do on her own. No active participation by the patient is required.
How does the Neotonus machine work ?
It's a lot simpler than you might think. ExMI produces a highly focussed pulsed magnetic field. To receive treatment a patient simply sits in a chair that allows thew electromagnetic field to be aimed at the muscles of the pelvic floor that control continence. The pelvic floor muscles contract and relax with each magnetic pulse, creating a physical exercise like any other muscular workout, except that the brain is not directing the contraction - Neotonus is. One way to thinkof the Neotonus machine is as an automatic Kegel exercise machine.
Breakfast is free but please register to enable catering to be provided.
