Born in Chioggia (VE), in 1976.

Medical degree cum laude on 2001 in Padova with the thesis "Neuropathology of cardiorespiratory centres in opiate related deaths".

Specialization cum laude in Legal Medicine on 2005 in Padova with the thesis "Opiate related deaths. Morphological and molecular-biological study.".

Assistant Professor of Human Anatomy in the Department of Human Anatomy and Physiology of the University of Padova from 1 October 2005.

Scientific activity devoted to the nuclei of the human medulla involved in the continuous monitoring and autonomic regulation of respiratory and cardiovascular functions; carotid body; histopathologic and molecular analysis of cardiorespiratory centres in drug-related deaths; morphology and embriology of cerebral vascularisation.

 

Author of 55 in extenso papers, 102 abstracts for congresses and two chapters in books in italian. Reviewer for the journals Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy, Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Clinical Anatomy.
