SHORT CURRICULUM VITAE OF ROBERTO CARONE

 

Graduate in Medicine and Surgery (110/110 cum laude) at the University of Turin.

Post-graduate diploma in Urology at the same University (1978).

Post-graduate diploma in Physiotherapy at the same University (1988).

 

Chief physician at CTO / CRF / M. Adelaide Hospital in Turin - Neurourology Unit, since 1989.

At the moment, he is “Director of the Neurology Unit” at the CTO-M. Adelaide Hospital in Turin.

Since 2001, he is Director of the Myeloid Lesions Unit at the same hospital.

 

He is Temporary Professor at the Medicine and Surgery Faculty of the University of Turin, where he teaches Neurology.

He is Full Professor of Neurology and Unrodynamics at the Specialisation School of Urology of the University of Turin.

He is Full Professor of Urology at the Specialisation School of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the University of Turin.

He is Full Professor of Urology at the Specialisation School of Physiatrics of the University of Turin.

 

He has published more than 250 scientific studies related to neurology on national and international journals and two books on “Autonomic Dysfunctions” and “Urogynaecology”.

 

He was President of SIUD, the Italian Society of Urodynamics, Continence, Pelvic Floor and Neurology, from 1998 to 2000. He is now an honorary member of the Society.

He was National Secretary of SOMIPAR, the Italian Medical Society of Paraplegia, from 1988 to 1998. He is now a Scientific Adviser for this Society.

At the moment, he is President of the FIC Scientific Committee (the Italian Continence Foundation).
