Dr. Ervin Kocjancic
Dr. Ervin Kocjancic was born in Capodistria (
Dr. Kocjancic graduated in Medicine and
Surgery at the University of Trieste on 15 July 1992 with a score of 110/110
cum laude. His thesis was entitled:
"The sacral roots electrostimulation in neuro-urology: principles base, indications,
technique". In November 1992 he
passed the State examination to qualify as a Medical Surgeon.
In the academic year 1992/93, Dr. Kocjancic
was admitted to the School of Specialization in Urology at the University of
Trieste. In the academic year 1993/94, he moved to the School of Specialization
in Urology at the University of Studies in Milan where he specialized in
Urology, completing the course on 6 November 1997, with a score of 70/70 cum
laude. His thesis was entitled:
“Functional embryo anatomy and surgical anatomy of female pelvic fascial structure”.
From 16 May 1997 to 30 September 1998 he acted as assistant in the
Urological division of a regional hospital in Vimercate.
From 13 January 1999 to 31 January 2006, worked as a Urologist at the
Urological Department of the Opedale Maggiore della Caritŕ, University of Piemonte Orientale in Novara, were was
authorized to perform kidney transplants (Authorisation No. 00A3475 of 16 March
2000 Gazzetta Ufficiale).
In November 2005 has been involeved in a Humanitary project in Madagascar operating complex fistulas
and other urological procedures and developing an educational project for local
phisicians and health providers.
Since 01. February 2006 Dr. Kocjancic has been
working as a Vice Chariman of the Department of
Urology at the University Hospital in Udine

Functional and reconstrucitve urology
Uro oncology surgery
Endo urology
Involved in research project in minimally invasive procedures in urinary
incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse;
In oncological field is involved in research
projects on new technologies and procedures for prostate cancer including
research on sentinel limphonode, intraoperative
radio therapy; surigcal management of locally advance
prostate cancer.
Urinary diversions after radical cystectomies
with orthotopic continent diversions and artificial
bladder. Developping of new minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of bladder tumors in an office setting.
