Doctor Brigitte Fatton was born in Angers, France
on 20th November 1961. She was medical student in the Medicine
Faculty of Nice, then resident in the University Hospital of Clermont-Ferrand.
She was awarded her MD degree in Clermont-Ferrand on 2nd November
1992 (Higher Degree in Gynecolgy and Obstetrics). She has been duly registered
on the list of the college of physicians under the n° 63/4064 from 20th
January 1994. She graduated as a hospital surgeon (gynecology and obstetrics)
in 1998. She was a visitor doctor in the Urology Department of Kaiser Hospital
in Los Angeles, USA (Chairman G. Leach) in October 1994. She spent 6 months as
fellow in the Urogynecology Unit of the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne,
Australia (Chairman P.L Dwyer) in 2006.
Dr Fatton is the president of SIFUD-PP (International
French speaking Urodynamic and Pelvic Floor Society). She is a board member of
numerous French and International societies: CNGOF (French National College of
OBGYN), SCGP (French Society of Gynecologic and Pelvic Surgery), Cercle
Recamier (vaginal surgery), ICS, IUGA.
Additionally she is author of several
communications, publications and book chapters in French and English language
on urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, vaginal surgery, sexual
disorders, pelvic floor rehabilitation.
She is a member of the editorial board of the
International Urogynecology Journal.
