Michele Meschia

 

 

He was born in Milano on November 20th 1952, he took his medical degree in 1977 and then he certified as Obstetrician and Gynecologist and Urologist in 1982 and 1988 respectively.

Medical Career

He began working as obstetrician and gynecologist in 1979, becoming assistan professor in 1991. From November 1999 and January 2003 he was director of the Urogynecology Unit of the 1st Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Milan (italy).

From February 2003 he is director of the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the hospital of Magenta in the neighbourhood of Milano.

Surgical experience

He performed more than 2500 major gynecological operations with special interest in the field of reconstructive pelvic surgery.

Scientific experience

From 1992 he is Professor at the postgraduate school of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Milan and Pavia.He was invited speaker at numerous national and international meetings, and from 2004 he is a member of the scientific committee of the International Urogynecologycal Association (IUGA) and European Urogynecological association. 

He was first author or co-author of numerous articles published in national and international journals.
