He has developed particular skill in morphological and functional diagnostic investigations (Urodynamics, Video-Urodynamics, ultrasound) and treatment of the lower urinary tract  and pelvic floor disorders (including genital prolapse) in general.

During the years he promoted research  into the area of disorders of the posterior compartment of the pelvic floor, investigating special aspects of anal incontinence and constipation in urogynaecological patients. He is author of various peer reviewed papers on this topic.

Dr. Soligo is especially interested in the Multidisciplinary approach to pelvic floor disorders. In his Unit a collaborative experience with Colorectal Surgeons and Urologists is currently running with interdisciplinary meetings and patients assessment.
