HOW TO REACH PADUA

The official Conference Hotel is the Best Western Hotel Biri. It is located in the centre of Padua close to the University and hospital and only a short distance from the railway station.

The following instructions explain how to reach Padua from various cities in Italy:
FROM VENICE
Marco Polo airport of Venice is the third busiest in
Italy and linked with all major
European airports. If you cannot fly directly to
Venice, look for a flight through some other
Bus. From the airport you can take a
regular bus going to Padua (get off at the very last
stop, which is the Bus Station). Take the blue buses
of the SITA company (www.sitabus.it). The tickets can be purchased in the
Arrivals Hall, they can also be bought on board (then they cost some more; in
any case no more than 5 euros). The trip usually lasts one hour.
Timetable: From Marco Polo Airport, Venice to Padua
Monday to Friday : from 6:35 to 20:35: every 30
minutes / from 20:35 to 22:35: every hour
Saturday and Sunday from 6:35 to 22:35: every hour
From Padua to Marco Polo Airport
Monday to Friday 5:00, then from 5:25 to 19:25: every
30 minutes/
from 19:25 to 22:25: every hour
Saturday and Sunday : 5:00, then from 5:25 to 22:25:

from the Bus Station you can either walk to your final

From TREVISO Airport to PADUA
From Caneva airport you should take a bus of the SITA
company to Padua (get off at the last stop which is the Bus Station). The trip
usually lasts 1hr.

FROM VERONA
From Valerio Catullo airport you can take a bus (one
every 20 minutes) to Verona Railway Station and then take a train to Padua.
Every train going to Venice or Trieste stops at Padua. If you take an ES (Eurostar),
IC (Inter-city) or IR (Inter-regional) train, Padova is the first stop after
Vicenza; if you take a R (regional) train, Padova is
the first stop after "Grisignano di Zocco".
Remember to stamp the ticket before getting on the
train on any of the yellow machines inside the station. For timetables please
browse the Italian Railways (Trenitalia) webpage. Once in Padua's railway
station you can either walk to your final destination or take a taxi (there
usually are plenty of them just outside the station).
FROM BOLOGNA
From Guglielmo Marconi airport you can take a bus
service called Aerobus (every 15/20 minutes) to Bologna Railway Station and then
take a train to Padua. Every train going to Venezia or Trieste stops at Padua.
If you take and ES (Eurostar) train, Padua is the first stop after Rovigo;
if you take an IC (Intercity), Padua is the first stop
after Monselice, if an R (Regional) train, Padua is the first stop after Terme
Euganee.
Remember to stamp the ticket before getting on the
train on any of the yellow machines inside the station. For timetables please
browse the Italian Railways (Trenitalia). Once in Padua's Railway Station you
can either walk to your final destination or take a taxi (there usually are
plenty of them just outside the station).
FROM MILANO
From Malpensa Airport reach Milano Centrale Railway
Station; it can be done by bus or by a combination of train and tube:
Bus: take the Malpensa Shuttle; it
stops both at Terminal 1 and at Terminal 2, it takes approx 50
min. and it costs 4,50 euros.
Train/Tube
1. If you arrive at Terminal 2, go to Terminal 1 with
the free shuttle bus (every 20 minutes,
24 hours/day).
2. Once in Terminal 1, take the Malpensa Express Train
to Milano Cadorna Railway Station
(approx 40 min.).
3. Once in Milano Cadorna Railway Station, take the
Tube (red/yellow or green lines) to
Milano Centrale railway station.
From Milano Centrale railway station, all trains going
to Venice or Trieste stop at Padua. Browse the Italian Railways (Trenitalia)
website for timetables and detailed indications.
From Milan, the typical ride time is 2 - 3 hours.
